Who? Me?

UPDATE: Gage relapsed on December 20, 2012. I guess those fucking Mayans were correct. It was the end of the world, but only for us.

The plan, we start all over from square one, and hope the leukemia cells don’t become resistant to the chemo again.

We will fight with everything we have. We will fight with love, positive thoughts, good vibrations, good juju, prayers and chemo. We aren’t picky, so long as one works.

Thanks you for being patient with me, especially when it takes me a year to write a post. Thank you for sticking by us, thank you for loving us…

Just when I thought my quarter life crisis was to begin and I’d have to learn to like wine, start to wear “mom jeans,” learn to cook and leave my pention for swear words behind; my 14 month old son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Fuck.

This is my blog.

Where I will tell you all about spinal taps, bone marrow samples, blood tansfusions and hospital stays; all while trying to keep a smile on my face. Less I scare the kid.

Be warned I cuss, a lot. I don’t sugar coat my shit, some of what I write is dark and scary; but some stuff is amazing and hopeful.

It’s kinda like a trainwreck, you can’t help but keep looking.

  3. Lisa – you are incredible. I was lying here on my couch boohooing because I’m in a cast and can’t pick up my kid at school and read your tweet about your sons six hour chemo session. Talk about perspective. Keep fighting the fight and I will keep following your inspiring life. I’m sending evey positive thought and virtual glasses of wine I can muster.

  4. Hi Lisa – Thanks for stopping by Cooper’s blog. I like your blog alot 🙂 Cooper was diagnosed around the same time as your son, July 2010. I have subscribed to your blog and will stay in touch. We can definitely relate…. our lives all about spinal taps, 6MP, Decadrons, Moody days, Zofran, etc. I like your blog alot, please stay in touch. Sending your little one positive energy. Now, let’s continue to kick cancer in the butt – cuz they suck!
