Words Can’t Even Describe

Gage and Tracy

It has taken me days to figure out what I have wanted to say about Saturday. I start to write something and nothing seems to be adequate enough. How do you thank someone for bringing awareness to a cause that is so dear to me? For helping to restore my belief that people are incredibly amazing? For helping our family not only spiritually but financially? How? Words truly will never be enough.

But thank you to the Nicosia Family and Mr. Rangel and all of his students for helping to put on such an amazing and successful walk on Saturday. Thank you to everybody who came out, and showed their support to Gage and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and raising almost $6,000.00!!

You started this as a class project on paper and turned it into an amazing day of love and support! We started out as strangers and ended up as family, who we will never forget, and who we make sure Gage never forgets; he will grow up knowing just how loved he is.

So thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Tracy and I at the walk, she put the whole thing together. She is amazing.

  1. That is amazing that they organized something like that for Gage. I think it just goes to show that even when most people think our world is full of crappy people who just want to hurt others or don’t care about anyone but themselves, they are wrong. There are awesome people in our world who just want to help and love others 🙂

  2. Lisa, it was truly an honor to meet you, Troy, and Gage (and the rest of your family, too!!). Along with you, I have had difficulty finding the proper words to articulate my thoughts, feelings, and emotions from being able to volunteer at the event. Talking to Tracy over the months since this project began, I learned of the adversities your family has been forced to endure. Not only can I say I am extremely proud of the Nicosia family for what they were able to achieve, but I applaud you and Troy as well.
You are truly an inspiration. There is strength in vulnerability. Thank you for allowing me precious time on Saturday to spend with you. As I said when I gave Gage my friend, Tigger, I will do anything I humanly can to help you. My heart goes out to you and may you find comfort in the prayers of complete strangers. Not only am I praying for miracles of healing for your dear little boy, but for continued support to you through the journey of endurance you are experiencing.
Hugs and love to you. Big hugs and big love. The kind that reaches from wherever I am in the world, all the way back to your hearts.
    Always,
    Robin
